Your oath is public. You are not.
We never ask for an email address and there is no account to create. The only things we store are what you choose to put on the record: your name, your oath, and an optional photo and signature. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, so your card details and the email you give Stripe never reach our servers.

What is I Swear To God?
A public registry of oaths. You write a promise in your own words, optionally add a photo and a drawn signature, stake $5 or more, and it is published on a permanent page with a timestamp and a link you can share.
How much does it cost to register an oath?
The minimum stake is $5. You can stake more ($50, $100, $150 or a custom amount) to show how serious you are. The stake is shown publicly next to your oath.
Is my oath public?
Yes. Every paid oath appears on its own public page and in the public list. Your name, oath text, stake, and any photo or signature you attach are visible to anyone with the link or browsing the record.
Can I delete or edit my oath later?
No. The point of the record is that it is permanent. Read your oath twice before you swear it.
Do I need an account or email address?
No. There is no sign-up and we never ask for an email address. Payment is processed by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page, so card details never touch our servers.
What is a stake?
The stake is the amount you pay to register the oath. It is not held or refunded. A larger stake buys nothing extra; it is a public signal of how sure you are.
Who can see the record?
Anyone. Oath pages are indexable, linkable, and printable, so you can hand the link to whoever needs proof of your word.
